SoRo, Inc. is a non profit 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to the revitalization and beautification of Robertson Blvd. between the Santa Monica Freeway and Pico Blvd. and its surrounding residential neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California.

Notice: SoRo, Inc. is a legally and  functionally separate organization from the Certified South Robertson Neighborhood Council (SORONC) which is under the Los Angeles Dept. of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE).

Any notices and news about SORONC on this Web site are listed as a community service but may not be wholly accurate.

Candidates Forum held

March 20, 2001 - - SoRo and the League of Women Voters sponsored a Candidates Forum at Hamilton High School to see who will replace Mike Feuer for City Council - District 5 up for election April 10th. 

This successful Forum featured Jill Barad, Nathan Bernstein, Joe Connolly, Tom Hayden, Laura Lake,  Constantina Milonopolos, Stephen Saltzman, Robyn Ritter Simon, Victor Viereck and Jack Weiss. (Candidate Ken Gerston was unable to attend). These fine candidates running for City Council District 5 replied to to issues important to SoRo such as billboards, community police, etc.

Also that evening, the election for the SoRo Board of Directors was held.

    The gracious and talented moderator was Kitty Felde, Host of "Talk of the City" for National Public Radio heard on KPCC.
