SoRo, Inc. (South Robertson Neighborhoods Council, Inc.) is a non profit 501c3 charitable organization dedicated to the revitalization and beautification of Robertson Blvd.
between the Santa Monica Freeway and Pico Blvd. and its surrounding residential neighborhoods in Los Angeles, California
SoRo, Inc. has been in existence since 1996 when Los Angeles Councilman Mike Feuer, 5th District and Councilman Nate Holden, 10th District, invited
stake-holders in the South Robertson area to participate in forming a Neighborhood Council. Since 1996, SoRo, Inc. has become
a viable organization, by
addressing issues, targeting problems and working on creative solutions through the neighborhood businesses, the property owners, the residents and the schools in the surrounding SoRo area. With ongoing community support, and funding
from a wide variety of sources, SoRo, Inc. is continuing its work towards achieving the attractive neighborhood village environment envisioned by its volunteer members.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! - - SoRo, Inc. is a legally and functionally separate
organization from the Certified South Robertson Neighborhood Council (SORONC) under the Los Angeles Dept. of Neighborhood Empowerment
On Tuesday, August 13, 2002 SoRo, Inc. presented to the Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE)
at Daniel Webster Middle School and was subsequently certified as the 40th Neighborhoods Council. The First Election for the Certified Board was held on August 10, 2004. See the Home Page
